Front and rear suspension travel has been increased by 2 inches over the outgoing Urban Enduro model, to a rock-eating 7.9 inches. The Desert Sled comes shod with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR “enduro on/off-road” tires. It also (finally) gets a 19-inch front wheel, opening up the tire possibilities to include more dual-sport offerings. Suspension travel has been increased on both ends, from 5.9 inches on the Urban Enduro to 7.9 inches, which to this point is the highest of any OE street scrambler on the market. A new, beefier 46mm Kayaba fork (compared to the 41mm fork used on the Urban Enduro) is fully adjustable, and the rear Kayaba shock is now adjustable for preload and rebound damping. The big news for the Desert Sled’s off-road worthiness, however, is its suspension. It competes with other middleweights like the Triumph Bonneville, Kawasaki Z800 and the Harley-Davidson Iron 883.The Desert Sled features a mesh headlight guard, reinforced high-mount front fender and tapered handlebars with a crossbar support. The Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle is available in a single deep black paint scheme. The Scrambler Full Throttle isn’t very sophisticated when it comes to electronic aids, and ABS is the only safety feature to be offered as a standard fitment. Powering the Scrambler Full Throttle is the same 803cc L-twin Desmodronic engine, which delivers 75bhp and 68Nm of torque.
The alloy wheels come shod with Pirelli dual sport tyres. The Scrambler Full Throttle also comes equipped with a Termignoni racing exhaust. The stock handlebar has been replaced with a low tapered straight bar, while the front wheel gets a short mudguard.
The seat has been designed for racing and body panels come painted in a special black and yellow paint scheme. While the overall shape and design of the Scrambler Full Throttle is similar to the standard Scrambler Icon, it gets a host of aesthetic updates to give it a racy appeal. The motorcycle has been mutated into a flat track racer thanks to a host of cosmetic upgrades and a special paint scheme. The Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle has been inspired by the oval dirt track bikes that race in the AMA championships.
